Luke Mabbott Adds MCZ Stove to His 1879 Chapel Makeover

Luke Mabbott is a British reality TV personality, best known for his appearance on the 2020 season of Love Island. He gained significant attention on the show for his relationships and charismatic personality. Since then, Luke has amassed a massive social media following, with over 1 million Instagram followers. He has leveraged his fame to diversify his career, branching into various markets such as travel with his fellow Love Island star, Lucie Rose Donlan, housing renovations with his brother Liam Mabbott, and TV roles, including his recent participation in Channel 4’s Renovation Rescue. While his fame began with Love Island, Luke has since become a well-known figure in both the UK entertainment and renovation industries.

Luke Mabbott was recently appointed as the joint host of Channel 4’s Renovation Rescue, alongside Vogue Williams. The show brings in experts to help homeowners transform and renovate their properties, tackling everything from outdated designs to challenging spaces, all while sticking to a budget. With a focus on both inspiration and practical advice, Renovation Rescue serves as the perfect platform for Luke’s latest project, making now the ideal time to collaborate.

Luke’s latest project is the ongoing renovation of his 1879 Wesleyan Chapel in Newquay, Cornwall. This historic chapel, built in 1879, is in need of a major transformation. Luke and his partner Lucie, both of whom starred on Love Island at different times, have teamed up to give the chapel a new lease on life. Lucie appeared in series five alongside stars like Molly-Mae Hague and Maura Higgins, while Luke was part of the first winter edition. Luke, a skilled plumber, and his brother Liam, an electrician, run their Brotherhood Properties business and recently purchased the chapel with plans to modernise it into a spacious open-plan home. They are also considering the possibility of turning the property into an Airbnb, capitalising on its location in Cornwall—a surfers’ paradise.

At MCZ UK, we’ve been collaborating closely with Luke, Liam, and Lucie to find an effective heating solution for their expansive open-plan stone chapel. They were in search of a modern, eco-friendly option, and we were happy to provide it. Initially, they hadn’t considered pellet stoves, assuming they were similar to wood burners. However, after discovering the advanced features of our products, including the Maestro+ app that lets you control the stove remotely, they were quickly impressed. This led to a new challenge: selecting the perfect stove for their renovation.

After careful consideration, they chose the Club Core, believing it would complement their decor flawlessly. For the chimney, they selected Schiedel’s ICID system, which is known for its lifetime guarantee. The ICID Plus Twin Wall Flue system ensures efficient, safe heating with modern appliances like stoves and boilers. Crafted from high-quality 316L stainless steel, it provides exceptional insulation and can withstand high temperatures. Plus, it’s easy to install with socket joint connections, eliminating the need for welding or thermal insulation.

Equipped with MCZ CORE Pellet Stove technology, which draws inspiration from gasification principles, this system offers beautiful flame aesthetics, requires minimal maintenance, and reduces emissions by up to 55%, surpassing European Ecodesign standards. With this combination of innovation and efficiency, Luke, Lucie, and Liam are now ready to enjoy clean, effective heating in their stunning new space. Stay tuned as we follow Luke, Liam, and Lucie’s incredible journey to restore this historic space and bring new life to their chapel.
